Shailendra Chavda, MD has been an Internal Medicine physician for over 21 years and is well versed in treating a wide variety of chronic conditions with focus on preventing and early detection of heart disease. His passion is health and longevity medicine and thus aims to build long term deep and meaningful relationships with patients in an attempt to tailor individualized plans for optimal health. “True healthcare is proactive rather than reacting to disease, so evaluating our daily lifestyle including diet, exercise, sleep, stress, and emotions are all essential in ensuring health and longevity so we may live meaningful lives.” He has studied alternative forms like Ayurveda, functional medicine, yoga, and naturopathy in an attempt to deliver holistic care.
Dr. Chavda grew up in Chicago and has been living in Las Colinas for the last 15 years with his wife and two children. He has practiced at UTSW inpatient care, then transitioned to outpatient care in Irving and also served as medical director as well as associate professor for TCU medical school.
