Kyle L. Gummelt, DO, MPH is dedicated to providing patients with personalized, state-of-the-art medical care, understanding the need for time to design individualized care plans and goals. Dr. Gummelt puts a special emphasis on preventive care and wellness, and his professional interests include prevention and management of cardiovascular disease. He has specific disease management focuses on obesity, sugar diabetes and cholesterol control. His epidemiology training has been instrumental in guiding patients through the COVID-19 pandemic, and his hands-on diagnostic approach allows for a complete evaluation of musculoskeletal concerns and injuries.
Dr. Gummelt is a DFW native, having grown up in Garland and attended college in Fort Worth at TCU. He obtained his master’s degree in epidemiology from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and returned to Fort Worth to obtain his medical degree from the University of North Texas. Dr. Gummelt is a Fellow with the American College of Physicians, and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Gummelt enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
