Kelly Givens, MD graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical School, where she was inducted into the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and completed her residency training at Waco Family Medicine Residency Program.
As your physician, Dr Givens’ goal is to provide you the best care. She has a detail-oriented approach, is a compassionate listener, and helps each patient navigate through all of their medical needs. She builds relationships with every patient to create individualized treatment plans with a goal of providing quality preventive care, improving long-term health, and treating both acute and chronic needs with thoughtfulness and up to date evidence-based medicine.
Dr Givens loves practicing medicine in her hometown of Dallas. She and her husband are raising 3 amazing children along with the family dog, cats, and chickens in Old East Dallas. She enjoys solving all kinds of puzzles, reading YA and adult fiction, and exploring the outdoors.
Fun Fact—In a prior career, she worked as a production coordinator for several TV shows before her job at CSI:Miami reignited her interest in science. Soon after, she found her passion for medicine through volunteer work and her science classes at UCLA and Bryn Mawr.
