Amby J. Bindra, MD, is a family medicine physician who highly values a personal, long-term relationship with each of his patients. He is kind, compassionate, and quickly earns the trust of his patients, using a collaborative approach to help each individual achieve their personal health-care goals. Dr. Bindra specializes in preventive healthcare and men's health, as well as managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and thyroid disease.
Dr. Bindra grew up primarily in Northern California, and attended the University of California, San Diego for his undergraduate education. He moved to Dallas in 1997 to attend UT Southwestern Medical School and has been here ever since. Dr. Bindra is married with 4 daughters and has lived in Lake Highlands for 20 years. He enjoys running, hiking in Colorado with his wife, playing tennis with his girls, traveling, and playing guitar.
Dr. Bindra strongly values serving and giving back to the community, as he continues to volunteer at Brother Bill's Helping Hand clinic in West Dallas for the past 10 years and counting. In addition, he and his wife are on committee for Lake Highlands YoungLife, and he has served in a variety of capacities at Watermark Community Church.
